Utica Music and Arts Festival

After a very short nap, rest, whatever you want to call it, we got up at 6:30 a.m. (most of us) and ready to leave Jamestown. We ate breakfast together and Kevin drove us to Utica. It was quite the adventure. There were lots of mountains, road and detours. We still made it in 5 hours. We arrived at about 12:45 and got our registration materials and headed to the stage on Varick Street. Utica had a great atmosphere. We were recognized by some familiar faces even before we reached the stage. That’s a great feeling! We walked around, greeted people, and had some food before setting up our equipment. Chicken riggies, greens and the prime rib sandwiches were the chosen cuisine for the day. They were quite tasty too!

After a quick sound check, we began our show and played a great set. Once again, Winslow rocked out as only we can! We even tore some of the decorations off of the stage(It really happened!!). They just fell while we were playing. Too funky for the stage I guess. We finished our set and packed our stuff back in the car and then made our rounds to say goodbye to everyone and take pictures. Then it was time to get on the road and head back to Ohio. We stopped for food just outside Pennsylvania and then made our way to Mentor to drop Kevin off. Kudos to Maurice for getting us back home to Ohio safely. Big Mike drove the rest of the way home and we unloaded the car and went home to get a much needed full night’s sleep. Now it’s time to get ready for Rock the Post in Kent, Ohio at the Outpost. See you guys there and stay tuned for the next episode!
